Keukenhof, known as the ‘Garden of Europe’, is nestled in the heart of Netherlands and close to Amsterdam. It is an iconic destination for vibrant tulip flowers and amazing landscapes. The 2024 edition is extra special as it is the 75th anniversary of Keukenhof! A visit to Tulip fields is a must while visiting the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens.
You will find beautiful floral paradise of tulip gardens around Keukenhof called as Bollenstreek (flower region) in Dutch. You can explore these Tulip fields around the Keukenhof Gardens by three different ways to do so: by boat, cycle or helicopter. These sightseeing tours can be perfectly combined by your visit to the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens.
Boat Trips along the Tulip Fields
Taking a boat tour through the tulip fields is a picturesque way to experience the colours of amazing floral landscape. This unique boat trip is available from 21st March to 12th May 2024. The whole experience takes about 45 minutes and surely guarantees amazing photographs and videos! Many operators offer these boat tours along the waterways providing an up-close view of the blooming tulip fields. The electric-boat offers silent cruise along the waterways as you immerse yourself in the endless Dutch tulip fields along with an audio tour about the flower bulb region.
The tour leaves from behind the famous Keukenhof windmill in the middle of the park. Boat tours are especially enchanting during the early morning or late afternoon when the sunlight bathes the fields in a warm and golden glow
Please note that this boat tour is not included in your Keukenhof entry ticket. You will need to buy a boat trip ticket as per the time you would like to join the cruise. Tickets are available at the ticket office next to this windmill.

Cycle Adventures
You can explore the beautiful tulip fields by bicycle too! Take your own bike or Rent a bike has option of bikes available for men, women and children. Keukenhof Bike Rental is located at the main entrance.
Please note that the cycle rent is not included in your Keukenhof entry ticket and you cannot cycle inside the park but only in the surrounding area in a cycle route. There are 4 different cycle routes along the flower fields. Book your activity in advance.

Flight Departure Times are either in Morning (9.30 am – 1 pm) or Afternoon (1.30 om – 5 pm) as per your preference. The exact confirmation is sent to you 1 day before the departure. The departure location is upto 5kms away from the Keukenhof Gardens and is poorly connected by public transport. It is possible to book a cab or rent a bicycle, but do check and confirm your travel before booking the flight tickets.
