Highland Club is located in the centre of the Highlands and within easy driving distance of all the scenic and beautiful locations that one can visit at the Highlands of Scotland from Whisky Tours, Boating at the Loch Ness or climbing or skiing on the Ben Nevis Range. The Highland Club is located at Fort Augusts, a small village in the heart of Scottish Highlands and nearby Loch Ness (named most instagrammable Scottish loch in 2021).The Highland Club is the only loch-side accommodation on the south shore in fact, so the views are amazing and unparalleled.

There are plenty of on-site activities to enjoy for all ages at the Highland Club. You will find more than 10 activities to keep you and your family busy during your stay like Swimming Pool, cricket and more.

Swimming Pool: The heated indoor Chapel Pool is a 10*8 metre pool coupled with steam and sauna room are beautifully designed. The Sandstone walls are used to create beautiful large ornate windows for spectacular views of the hills of South Loch Ness. You need to book slots to access the pool.

Club Lounge: This is the lounge and snooker room in the beautifully restored timber panelled former monk’s refectory. It has full sized snooker table, children’s pool table, table football, games cupboard and comfortable sofas and chairs which makes this a perfect place to hangout with friends and family or meet other hotel guests.

Archery & Knife Throwing Activities: Here you can enjoy Archery and Knife + Tomahawk throwing activities which can be arranged in collaboration with Monster Activities. It can be prebooked and charges apply as per the activity selected. We had session of Archery and Knife Throwing with Iain from Monster Activities who nicely instructed and guided us throughout the session. Surely its a fun activity while staying at the Highland Club.

Other on-site activities include Gym, Badminton, Cricket, Boules, Football, Croquet Lawn, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis and a Giant Chess in the middle of the property. There is also a Children’s Play Area with swings, slide and a climbing frame. You can also visit the Church Atrium and also there is a dedicated section for having BBQ’s!

4. Places to Visit in the Highlands

Since being located centrally in the Scottish Highlands, the Highland Club becomes the perfect base for you during your visit to Scotland. You can enjoy and explore as much as of Highlands and later come home to a relaxing comfy bed to recharge for the next day of adventure. Visit Ben Nevis Range: Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland, United Kingdom and the British Isles. Just 50mins drive from the Highland Club, Ben Nevis must surely be on your itinerary while visiting Scotland. Here you will find the only Mountain Gondola in the UK to reach heights of 650m.This has become an amazing attraction allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic views and enjoy the atmosphere. It is wildly used by climbers, hikers and bikers.

Glenfinnan Viaduct: Harry Potter fans will definitely know of this place and will surely would like to visit here during their visit to Scotland. Surrounded by the mountains on the shore of Loch Shiel, Glenfinnan Viaduct is truly a Highland Gem and great spot to watch the Jacobite steam train traversing the hillside and crossing the Viaduct made famous by the Harry Potter Films. You can witness this moment ever day from spring to autumn.

Glencoe Nature Reserve: A place of history, wildlife, adventure and myth, Glencoe mountains were formed through volcanic eruptions and massive glaciers.
